Returned some year's later to find a solid if unremarkable roadside local now in Young's Ram Pub group, with a restaurant area to the front and a larger room to the back which is the main bar. Draught Young's beers only, which seemed in fair condition (although the sampled Winter Warmer was of course not a patch on what it used to be).

Friendly, enthusuastic staff, good atmosphere and well-kept beer. Food not quite up to scratch - perhaps being a bit too ambitious - but has great potential so worth a try
