Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Plough Inn
Local village pub in Blundeston, which is not too far from Lowestoft.
It was fairly busy early on a Friday evening with a fair few locals packed into the bar area. Dogs and children are welcome. Kids were running around and dogs were being rather noisy. Listening into conversations, there seemed to be a few farming types in, where how best to milk a cow was being discussed. I couldn't really intervene and help them out.
There is a small dining area in one corner of the pub and a very pleasant looking garden at the back. Neither were being particularly well used.
Ales were national staples - Horizon, Doom Bar, Old Golden Hen & The Rev James. There's a bit of history concerning Charles Dickens attached to the pub and Blundeston seems a nice village. However, the lack of any adventurous beers meant I was left a little disappointed.

Graham Coombs left this review about The Plough Inn
Surprisingly-large village pub with Dickensian connections. The right hand side is the main bar area, with two adjoining rooms, leading through to a games room beyond and the extensive garden area. The bar to the left acts as the restaurant and leads through to a function room bar. The whole is fitted in a mixture of genuine and mock-Tudor panelling and beams, with a nicely aged feel. Ales were from Adnams, although that sampled was not in the best condition so might need further research. Food was not sampled but seemed to be no-nonsense and in large portions.
