This pub looked well kept from the outside but i was'nt exspecting any real ale here.
I was surprised to see two handpumps on the bar i had a drink of Bombadier which was a decent drink the other real ale was Courage Directors.
This was mainly a locals pub but was a friendly enough pub to have a drink in.

As pubs in Congleton have declined this one on the other hand has not,Quite the reverse,Now with a superb resteraunt(sunday lunch is a must)fine ales(trad and keg)all reasonably priced. With a new landlord/lady and friendly staff giving a relaxed atmosphere for all ages.this is a local pub that needs to be checked out, even for the fantastic mural painted on the court yard wall(spray painted by a young local artist)
