More like a cafe than a pub now. The counter is at the front, and there is a seating area at the back. It lacks any kind of pub atmosphere, and it’s only that they sell alcohol that they can still claim to be a public house. There were handpumps on the counter, but no ale or real cider on sale. It was mainly full of shoppers looking miserable over a coffee. I can’t say I have any urge to return.
