For the value for money element, this pub is a little diamond. The landlady and landlord are hospitable, the foods good, and i've never had a problem with the beer. It's bad reviews like some that get posted, that fuel the decline in the great british pub industry. So unless you just want to shop in a tesco's and drink in an early opening, alchoholic friendly wetherspoons, I would urge you to 'keep real pubs alive - support your local'.

Oggwyn Great left this review about White Lion Inn
As you enter the bar is to the left and a large lounge/dining room to the right . The bar is small and comfy . Service was terrible had to wait 5 mins to get served . Jennings Cumberland was poor , locals not that friendly . This pub has a decent local reputation but did nothing for me
