The L-shaped White Hart wraps around a front paved courtyard with seating and a few planters. The entrance leads to a thin wooden floored bar area with a serving counter that runs across the rear wall. Sofas and a fireplace with burner are found in a tile floored sunken area to the right. The long left-hand side of the pub feels more like a dining area, so it was empty during a recent late evening midweek visit. There was some background music playing, but I don’t recall any other distractions. Standard and premium keg were available alongside three hand pumps that were drawing Ringwood Brewery’s Razor Back, Three Tuns Solstice and Hobsons Brewery’s Spring Break. The Razor and Solstice were on good form, but the welcome and service from both staff was less than friendly, in fact I would class it as being miserable. This is why I’ll not be returning next time I’m in Ironbridge.

The bar area was in front of the main entrance, which was handy. Three handpumps serving Marston's 61 Deep, Ringwood Razor Back and Three Tuns Best Bitter. I went for the Three Tuns and proceeded along into the right hand lounge area. Immediately I got an awful smell of someone's lunch, heaven knows what they were eating. It wasn't a fish dish either, maybe the low ceilings and no ventilation didn't help.
My beer was ok, but not marvellous. Maybe I just caught this place on a bad day.

Another Georgian coaching inn with front patio. As Quickie says, it is self-styled cafe, bar, bistro place, which did also become a 'pub' when I quizzed the cheerful bar chappie on that topic. Satisifed with his 'Yes', we sat. The interior has all been ripped out, so effectively it is a long room with eclectic furniture and ephemera. The fireplace at the end was the nicest feature, but as there were no twigs with lights on I coped happily with it - even the sofas. There was no TV and the music was soft. Service was fine and there was just one other couple in. Beer had usual taps with Peroni and Estrella, and there were 3 real ales on pull: Marston's 6.1 deep, Ringwood Razorback and a decent enough Wood's Shropshire Lad. Again, happy to pop in for one.
