The Church Wickets is a Greene King pub with an L-shaped bar counter to the left that is mirrored by a conservatory full of seating to the right. At the rear are three dartboards and the toilets, which are upstairs. The televisions throughout were all off except for one that was showing rolling BBC News. The bar counter supports two hand pumps, but one was unused and the Hobgoblin was reverse clipped. So the options were standard keg, San Miguel or Poretti. There’s a minimum spend of £5 on cards. Cards are not widely accepted in the pubs around here so if you’re planning a crawl make sure you have cash. I’m not really sure what this place is trying to be and as such I didn’t really enjoy my visit.

Once traditional local that was converted to a Wetherspoons a few years ago , it is now a Greene King pub but retains the basic spoons layout , there is an L shaped central bar and various drinking areas in an open plan layout .
Its very food led with most tables laid for dining . Service was quick if not that friendly which is more than can be said of the locals , every other word begins with F and lots of glaring at none regulars .
Despite lots of signs advertising Quality Cask Ales there were none available only fizzy keg
Overall not a nice place to drink
