This was the last, one of a handful of pubs along the A53 that I had planned to photograph on my way home from my holiday with tent and hired car in Wales. The rain was persistent but I managed them all, and decided to stop at this one as it was just on 12 noon. Two hand pumps, both with Bass on. The woman serving was very welcoming and willing to chat about the weather, but struggled a bit with pulling the beer through. Having checked that it wasn't the end of the barrel, she diagnosed an airlock and eventually forced a full pint through all the froth. The resultant glass showed an almost clear beer and at first it tasted ok, but an aftertaste was soon apparent, and I ended up only drinking half. A pity, as I quite liked this pub and I wanted to be able to recommend it.
