A large looking pub that is quite modern inside. 6 handpumps were on the bar of which 4 were serving real ale from the nationals. Friendly enough staff.

The Swan looks like a fairly large pub that is situated at the top of swan square and looks down to the Queens Head.
Once inside the pub is not as big as it looks from the outside, there is a single room that runs the width of the pub with the bar facing, the room has been done up in the modern style with a tiled floor and pine tables and chairs, some of these were of the tall type.
There was a tv to the right showing the mighty Nottingham Forest v Leicester at Leicester and i was lucky in seeing Forest score a penalty.
There were six pumps on the bar with four in use and the other two waiting for beers to condition,i had a drink of Black Sheep bitter and this was quite a nice well kept drink, the other beers were Old Speckled Hen,Ruddles County and GK Abbot.
I had a good chat with the landlady who was quite knowledgable about the pubs in the Burslem area.
The pub had a nice laid back atmosphere and i was happy enough having a drink in this pub.
