Alan Winfield left this review about The Barrel
The Barrel is a fairly small pub that is situated towards the top end of ford green road.
Once inside the pub had a single L shaped room with the bar facing, the room was carpeted and had comfy leather bench seating and small stools.
There were lots of hops strung across some of the supporting beams which looked a bit unusuall, there was also a radio playing at a decent volume.
There was also a table skittles table which was ready to use.
There were three pumps on the bar with two in use,i had a drink of Alton Altons Pride which was a very nice malty beer that was well kept, the other beer was Sharpes Doom Bar.
The pub had a nice laid back atmosphere and there was a decent amount of customers in of different ages.
I quite liked this pub and would happly come here again.
