Strongers . left this review about Three Fishes
The Three Fishes has padded bench seating in the windows either side of the central entrance and a single row of tables across the carpeted front. A U-shaped serving counter sits on the left wall towards the rear where it faces tables and chairs on a flagstone floor. This feels like an old pub with a white painted black beamed ceiling that reduces in height the nearer it gets to the toilet doors on the rear wall, mind your head! The keg options were Coors, Amstel, Birra Moretti, Inch’s Cider and Guinness, and the six hand pumps were drawing Wye Valley’s HPA, Vocation’s Chop & Change, Hobson’s Twisted Spire and Town Crier alongside two Westons Rosie’s Ciders. This is a small pub so it wouldn’t take many to fill it up, but I thought the service was very polite and there was a good atmosphere generated by the chatty older crowd, well worth a look.

Well described below as a single olde worlde room, I don’t have much to add about the interior- it has been much altered but still fits the ancient building. Cosy pub with lots of conversation and lots of real ale being pulled - one of numerous Shrewsbury pubs that were hard to leave on a cold Friday evening. My pint of Lemon Dream was excellent.

I arrived here on a Friday afternoon and immediately realised that I had been here before around 20 years ago. It's an old pub near one of Shrewsbury's prominent churches. The old sign outside reveals that it was once a Whitbread house but according to What Pub is now owned by the Ei group.
Inside it's a single Olde Worlde room with the bar on the left and initially a carpet then stone flagged floors.
The bar has six hand pumps which had one unused, M&B Mild, Ludlow Best, Stonehouse Cambrian Gold, Taylor's Landlord and Salopian Golden Thread. Unfortunately I couldn't see the Salopian clip properly so read it as Shropshire Gold and went for the Landlord (£3.60) which was in good nick but I'm sure inferior to the Golden Thread.
This is a pleasant enough old pub but I suspect that in the past it's been somewhat ruined by Whitbread.
