Strongers . left this review about The Crown
The Crown has an L-shaped public bar in the right-hand side where there’s also a dartboard, but I decided to have my dinner here, so I sat in the left-hand side where a counter to the right faces several different seating areas towards the left. A World Cup match was muted on the television while some American pop music played through the speakers. Premium keg was available alongside Carling and Clwb Tropica, and the three hand pumps were drawing TT Landlord, Wye Valley’s HPA and Ossett’s Butterley. I had a decent pint of HPA and a Chippy Tea which was lots of battered things with chips, mushy peas, gravy and bread… yes this was exactly what I was after. Being opposite the abbey I suppose that is going to be food led in here, and the service was very polite, and I really enjoyed the heart attack on a plate, but I don’t think I would go out of my way just to revisit for a beer.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Crown
Good-looking old hotel opposite the Abbey, with two separate bars and semi-traditional furniture and décor throughout. I went into the right-hand side (which turned out to be more of a lounge / dining area) and found three real ales on handpump: Bath Ales Gem, Dark Star's Hophead and Spring Break (£4.20) from the Greene King 'Future Brewers' range.
