Ludicrously bonkazoid hotel bar seemingly done over by a ketamine-crazed Laurence Llewellyn Bowen, gaudy and all rather neuveau riche. My companion described the interior as a ‘farted-out portobello mushroom'. Of more interest and class is the bookspine end stylings of the bar, plus the uniquely-styled pavement-mounted pub sign. Two pumps, with a warm (if palatable) Rebellion IPA available. Despite being terrible, it’s one I’ll remember longer and clearer than the Black Horse.
