The Vernon Arms is a decent looking white painted pub that overlooks the forest recreation ground, the pub is also quite a walk from any other pubs.
Once inside the pub is quite smart with carpets and comfortable seating, the pub used to be a Mansfield tied house so it is now a Marstons tied house,on a more recent visit here there were a couple of real ales on the bar i had a drink of Pedigree and this was a decent enough drink.
The pub is handy for Goose Fair and it is very close to a tram stop.
