A micro brewery and pub, bits of the brewery are visible on the left and you might have trouble finding the counter in the maze of front and rear drinking spaces. One room has blackboards of the beers on offer. The two front bars have a counter with four pulls on in each, I didn’t spot any of their own beers.

A two roomed pub on two levels with interesting beer options outlined in the review below,My choice of Angel Lazarus was decent as was the food. The pub has a good feel about it and I enjoyed my stay.

An old building,there are two distinct rooms at different levels,it is important to first visit the lower room where the brewing kit is situated to inspect the boards detailing the ale options and a seperate list for the indie kegs. This lower room has a small servery and a side room while the larger ,higher room has four handpumps,a larger bar,pew and bench seating and a vinyl collection at the far end.The overall feel is a student ale house and it's popular with the young,the food options are generous and cheap,my fish finger sandwich was spot on at £7.
The ale options on my trip were Angel Bitter Angel,Lazarus and Sasquatch ,a maple brown ale NBSS 3.5 with guests Little Critters White Wolf,Hollow Stone Dunkel Dunkel,Attic Brew Dawn,Welbeck Abbey Portland Black plus a handpumped Seacider. There were 6 indie kegs from Liquid Light ,Vocation,Beartown and Angel expanding the style options inclding two sours.
I will certainly call back on the basis there may well be interesting beer in some form or other.I can just about get away with being an old git in here,after all I was a student once upon a time.
