The Beacon was an estate pub that was in an elevated part of st anns giving decent views from the streets nearby.
There was a basic bar and a smartish lounge inside and this pub used to be an Home Ales tied house with both Home mild and bitter being real ales,the bitter was a decent drink.
Sadly this pub is now tinned up awaiting its fate.
