Formerly The Wheatsheaf, this is a modernised bar and restaurant which also caters for drinkers in the bar area facing the old Great North Road. On our late October lunchtime visit the lone cask beer was Doom Bar,which was swerved in favour of a bottled Timothy Taylor Landlord.
Our burgers were good, the welcome and service friendly.
