The Great Northern is a fairly large pub that is situated next to the East Coast main line.
Once inside there is a large iregular shaped room which had maily normal tables and chairs,there was a smaller seperate room to the right which had some leather settees for seating.
There were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Pheasanty PA whch was quite a nice drink,the other beer was Doom Bar.
The pub was very busy both inside and outside.

This pub is a gem. It's got a bit of everything. Live music nights are a blast. Fantastic reasonably priced food. Great childrens chill-out zone. Brilliant selction of beers and wine. The Great Northern Inn is going to be back on track...
