Looks nice from the outside, a pretty pub in a pretty village, but the inside flatters to deceive. The rear room is battered, poorly painted, all over the lines like a child's colouring book. Front bar a bit better but still feels tired and unloved. TV showing football. Three on, St Austell Proper Job (undrinkable), GK IPA and TT Landlord, served up by poor staff who looked like they’d be dragged out of the queue at the Poundland sale. Tragic – but a good pub could be made of this.

Good local old fashioned pub. No food now after the chef on a free transfer. Noted for the miserable landlord who loves to play that role. Could do with a guest beer, and when the weather's cold, so id the beer.
