The name is the clue: the pub is in a large building which appears to have been a working boathouse at some time. It's a GK pub on the edge of a lake which is used for recreation and sport and adjacent to a sterile suburban residential area. The whole setup feels horribly artificial, like something from a Margaret Attwood novel. Long queues at the bar, banal conversation among the over-dressed customers and a twee menu do not make for a relaxing time. Two ales on, Abbott and GK IPA, both fairly lacklustre. It's ok for occasional refreshments but I really wouldn't alter course to come here.
