Alan Winfield left this review about The Swan
The Swan is on the other side of the crossroads from the Grey Horse.
The pub is set sideways onto the main road,so the entrance if form the right side, there is a small separate pool room to the front left, the main room is quite large and square shaped,is is part carpeted and bare boarded, there is some bench seating to the left with normal tables and chairs elsewhere, plus one leather settee.
There were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Taylor Golden Best which was a decent drink, the other beer was York Guzzler.
Background music was playing and the pub was fairly busy.
This is a decent enough pub,but i preferred the one just down the road.
