Old Boots left this review about The Turks Head
A single room keggery although there are two unused pulls on the nicely carved counter. Traditionally furnished with bench seating and stools at rectangular tables, lots of old photos, a bit of tongue and groove and a ships steering wheel complete the decor. Full of jolly Geordies, both sides of the bar when I popped in, good noisy fun but not for those with sensitive ears.
