I first visited this pub on 12 September 1990 when the pub was called the Mermaid.
This was a large pub that was in a prime position overlooking the south bay,once inside there was a very large room which had lots of table sand chairs and was'nt really a place you would like to stay in very long.
This pub was a S&N Youngers tied house and there were two real ales on the bar,the Youngers No 3 was a decent drink the other beer was Youngers bitter.
This pub has now been closed for quite a long time.
