Another Sheringham pub another dreary pint of Wherry, I could have had Taylor’s Landlord, St Austell Tribute or Doombar instead. It’s a long room split into various areas, with mostly white walls decorated with an eclectic load of pictures, signs, vending machines and posters. A lot of the horizontal surfaces are covered with the aforementioned “junk”, mostly a collection of old adding machines, radio equipment and sewing machines. There’s a case of ex RAF stuff as well. Other than the poor beer it’s an ok place.

A long pub on Sheringham's main shopping street with several rooms interconnected and mostly having bare wooden floorboards. Much of the decor consists of lots of junk like old suitcases, typewriters and dispensers of pre-1960s chocolate bars; this is all against a background of modern synthetic music. Otherwise it was very plain and very quiet at the time of my visit in early spring. There were just two hand pumps on the bar when I was here, with St Austell Proper Job and Sharps Doom Bar. I went for the latter, which was ok.

Bustling pub in middle of main street which feels like a pub ought to.
