Immediately taken on approach by the pub sign (see pic) which I loved. Inside is an old skool boozer that has been kept well; a small main bar as you enter (white and blue shades with carpet and a bit of modern exposed brick at the fireplace) then down a couple of steps off left to a long narrow lower bar, with a band setting up for Saturday night caterwauling. Three cask, Doom Bar, London Pride and a decent drop of Adnams Ghost Ship (NBSS 3), poured by a friendly barmaid. A decent local.
