This is now nothing like the Fox & Geese pub visited by the previous reviewer. There's no real ale here, just loads of keg stuff dispensed from T-fonts, with I reckon the best bet being the Camden Pale (£2.90 a half!). There's no bitter of any kind, not even John Smith's smooth crap. It's clearly now food led, but as I obviously didn't sit at any of the tables laid for diners I didn't get to see a menu.
This is clearly what was once a pub now turned into a craft beer/cocktail/diner bar. There's now nothing of heritage interest inside, although it's hard to tell for sure under the indigo paint everywhere. There is some outside seating under a huge awning by the bust main road.
I'm struggling to think of any redeeming features - from the perspective of a pub. I'm unlikely to visit again.

A large corner pub with not many customers. There is an outside seating terrace with a tent at one end. Internally, there is a single L-shaped bar which actually feels quite homely with its gas fire, sparsely set tables and dog bed occupied by a sleeping beagle. The staff appear a little confused, the barmaid didn't know what 'CAMRA discount' meant. The homely illusion was shattered when we noticed the gaming machine, TV screens and dartboard. There is a good, basic bar menu supported by roast dinners. Three handpumps on the bar, two of which dispensed Doombar and Pride in reasonable condition. The WiFi didn't work. A nice feel, but opening times are unpredictable, which might account for the lack of custom. In the event of its being open, I would be happy to drop in for a quiet pint.
