An impressive GII listed building which is more than can be said of the interior which is a large semi-circular modish open-plan place in red and cream with the odd pot plant and acres of empty floor space - like an autistic All Bar One. Weirdly there was a Scottish football on the mute TV, massively at odds with the vibe. No ale so went for a Guinness which they managed to make a hash of, tangy and horrible it was. Also rollickingly expensive. Possibly the worst pub/bar I’m likely to do in 2016. Truly dismal.

Renamed the Park many years ago.
Large, empty hotel bar and restaurant. Ok when a few people in. No real ale. Food unimaginative.
