Still a charming looking pub from outside but recently modernised.Restaurant area added to the rear and nice outside space to the side.Still a pub selling Youngs beer with usual suspects on three hand pumps.Very busy but with branded glasses in vogue I could see no one was drinking the cask beer.Short measure had to be topped up twice.Tried the Special which was in good condition but tasteless.Very poor range of beers so its probably leased.Youngs pubs tend to have a better range of beers now.

I popped in here to escape the rain earlier this afternoon and I was the only patron. I found the staff to be very hospitable and my pint of Youngs Ordinary was OK. Special was also available along with some standard lagers, but the Bombardier was off.
The side of the pub nearest to the entrance is quite nice, but the bar and dart board area needs some cleaning up and maybe the TV needs to come off the table and onto the wall. I still liked it in here even though the music was a little loud for lunchtime.
There is some seating outside in between the pub and the car park and some of this is covered. Whilst having a crafty cigarette I noticed a reasonably sized function type room out the back with a small bar and a piano.
I'm not very likely to pass here again, but if I do I will pop in if possible.
