Strongers . left this review about The Chequers

After changing its name from 'The Chequers' to 'The Waiting Rooms' this place has now adopted the name 'Papa Js' and it is an Indian Tapas restaurant and bar. It has been very sleekly fitted out and still retains a small bar area serving up Fosters, Stella, Carlsberg, Guinness, John Smiths Smooth and London Pride (which was off on my visit).

I spotted 3 plasma screens that were showing Sky News and there were a couple of people dotted around drinking coffee and using the wireless internet that is available.

If the food is good it would be a great place to go for a ruby and a beer, but I wouldn't bother if I just up for a few jars.
