I hadn't visited here for over 10 years and I never realised what a small Spoons it is. We were amongst the first customers when we called for breakfast. 4 ales on which were London Brewing Table Beer, ELB pale ale and 2 from the Mad Squirrel brewery - Resolution and Gold. We tried 3 of them and they were fine. Not a bad pub and handy for the tube station.

Very much an old-fashioned Spoons, complete with a particularly old-fashioned clientele, unless it was pension day or something. Rather smaller than the large frontage suggests, with one L-shaped room round the bar. A few pavement tables outside act mainly as the smoking area. Despite only having the one set of 6 handpumps, it shows a good interest in beer with a sign proclaiming 1310 ales sold last week, whatever than means. On at time of visit were two from Vale, a festival beer and Truman Runner plus Doom Bar and Abbot, and seemingly in good order. A fridge full of craft is also available.

This seems quite a busy JDW but that could be due to the small size, as others have noted. Unfortunately the beer selection mirrors the physical dimensions. 6 pumps but only 4 on, and two of those are Doom Bar and Abbot. Not very exciting, but looking around most punters are on keg. Decent place though and service was efficient and friendly. It was closed a few weeks ago for a refurb.
