Fantastic looking listed white weatherboarded country pub situated in the North Enfield conservation area that Punch taverns have made such a pigs ear of running over the last few years that it is now currently shut whist the PubCo tries to sell it..
If Enfield Council has any balls they will not let this one become a private house

This is a nice pub with old wooden beams and an inglenook in the front bar section. The rear is more of a restaurant as this pub is a little out of the way meaning that it is difficult to get to without driving so I imagine they rely heavily on dry sales.
Broadside, Greene King IPA and Bombardier were the ale options alongside a limited standard draught selection from which I had a decent pint of Guinness. The man behind the bar was as miserable as sin, but the woman couldn’t have been more helpful and made my family’s visit enjoyable.
