The White Lion occupies the right-hand side of a long white painted building that has seen better days. I actually thought it was derelict as I approached. Inside there is a central bar that serves an area with banquettes to the right and tables and chairs to the left where there is also a dartboard and a television that was showing muted Man United TV. In here a group of blokes were playing poker during a Wednesday evening visit in December. There was background music playing off the jukebox. The bar supports standard keg and the lone hand pump was drawing Sharp’s Sea Fury. I’ve had better Guinness so don’t hold much hope for the ale quality. This is a local’s boozer with minimal décor that makes it feel a bit like a budget hotel bar. I don’t plan on revisiting.

The White Lion is a nice looking pub that faces a busy road junction.
Once inside this pub had an olde worlde feel to it with low ceilings and lots of knic-knacks,the seating was very comfortable and the pub had a real nice atmosphere to it.
This pub is a Robinsons tied house and there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Robinsons bitter and this was a very nice drink the other beer was Robinsons mild.
I really liked this pub.
