Previously The Globe, this former ale house is now a South American restaurant which no longer sells real ale. It’s a bit of a theme pub now, and they do have a couple of keg beers on, Longhorn IPA and Blue Moon Belgian White, but these are both rather unexciting. The wine list is similarly dull. The staff are pleasant, though we found some of the clientele very loud, very false and very American. OK for an original food style, a basic enjoyable meal with a twist, but not really suitable for a crawl or an evening’s drinking.
