Strongers . left this review about The Lion
The entrance of the Lion opens up onto the main seating area to the left and a bar area to the right where a the serving counter runs along the front wall facing a small seating area with fireplace at the rear. The fireplace has been boarded up and was being using to store some small stools. To the right of the bar area are some high tables and a dartboard. Televisions are found throughout for showing football via Sky Sports. The bar supports standard keg and two hand pumps that were drawing Landlord and Doom Bar, although the latter was off. This Craft Union pub was busy, especially for early on a Wednesday evening. I wouldn't go out of my way to revisit, but it is the closest pub to the station so I may visit again if I get caught short.
