An excellent traditional pub just across from the Shudehill interchange. An unchanging old-style 3-roomer so still as described below and very nice too. Holts Bitter (£3.70) plus a guest, which on this visit was Ossett White Rat.

A classic inner city Manchester pub that needs no further description, historic if slightly plain interior with paler wood and leaded glass. Very much an old man’s pub and none the worse for than. Excellent Holts Bitter and an untried Robinson’s Dizzy Blonde which seemed odd in a Holt’s house.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Hare & Hounds
Heritage pub opposite the Shudehill Interchange, with a fine-looking interior of three service areas around the gantried bar set halfway along one side. The main part of the counter is in the central lobby (featuring some fine tilework but limited seating), with the ends serving the front 'vaults' and rear lounge. Holt's Bitter (£3.20) and Robinson's Dizzy Blonde available from two of the four dispersed handpumps.
