Visited 23/06/25. Visited previously as Harringay Arms on 21/03/22.

Three hand pumps. One not dispensing but at least with clip turned round. The other two were offering Harvey's Sussex Best and Theakston Best. Keg offering of Madri, Sharps Atlantic Pale Ale, Offshore Pilsner also from Sharps, their own Cross Lager, Staro, Alpacalypse, Aspall and Guinness.

This is quite a small venue. Inside the bar counter is on the right-hand side around mid-venue. It is bare boarded with a light crimson red banquette in the front right-hand corner. There are some regular tables served by some ex-church pews along the left-hand wall before reverting to regular tables that line both sides of the bar counter, the rear being illuminated on bright days and evenings by a decent sized skylight. The walls are boarded. There is some seating out the back in an uncovered courtyard. Not bad for such a small and contained venue. There may well have been some upstairs seating but I didn’t investigate.

I get the impression that this small one bar pub has had quite a few management changes in recent years and I believe there is even a new one in situ since the last review.
It looks like live music may be the focus of the pub now as there is a stage section at the end of the pub and adverts for upcoming shows.
Unfortunately visited on an early mid week evening when there wasn’t anything going on and whereas the other pubs in this area were fairly lively with evening drinkers I walked into this one to find one other customer sitting at the bar talking to the barmaid. Only two real ale pumps on the bar now that I could see, and only one of these in operation with a fairly average London pride. Seems also to be a connection with the pizza restaurant next door as there was a connection at the back of the pub into the small pizza restaurant from what I could see.
It may be a lot different on a music night when it’s got a bit of a crowd in but with me and one of the bloke I really didn’t feel this one had much going for it.
And I would take the last review below with a pinch of salt. If I was a barman and saw Tris walking into my pub late in the evening, I would make up some old excuse to get rid of him as well.

An entry was effected a few nights ago at just after 9.00 pm, only to be told by the barman that the pub was closed due to the cooling systems having packed up and that the engineer hadn't arrived; this didn't seem to have affected the other drinkers, so I suspect this is pub speak for 'It's a slow night, so we're closing early'. The grade is reviewer speak for 'You can't pull the wool over my eyes'.
