This is a ‘shop front' Irish pub that has been knocked through into the next door shop making it larger than the norm and a lot more airy. I was pleasantly surprised as the interior is much bigger than you would have thought from viewing the exterior. There are a few tables and chairs outside the entrance which are next to a very busy road and there is a small beer garden out the back with a covered smoking area.
The barmaid that served me was polite and there was a selection of standard lagers alongside Strongbow, Guinness (obviously), Pride and Doombar (another pump was off).
‘All major sporting events shown' was advertised outside for Sky Sports and Setanata and I spotted a plasma screen.
I wouldn't be disappointed if this was my local bar.
