A Greene King horror show.On the banks of Willen Lake ,this pub is as faux as the lake which was dug out and created in the 70's as part of the development of Milton Keynes. It's like being in a tacky resort in the US,although in summer the pub will draw customers to the ranks of pic nic tables outside overlooking the tepid waterspace.
The interior is large with more of a drinking area to the left with some high tables, seating booths ,worn comfy chairs while the area to the right is equally uninspiring but may suit diners more.It was very quiet on a Friday night ,no one lives nearby and it felt souless.
The two handpumps were unused, the keg selection was mainstream crap and I had to do with GK Icebreaker Pale on keg at £5.20.Not satifying at all.
I walked from the Grand Union and regretted my decision.Avoid if real ale and decent pubs are your game.

A 'Fayre & Square' establishment, this is superbly located on Willen Lake and busy on weekends and clement days, this offers a bland selection of GK IPA and Sharp's Doom Bar - the latter out of action on my visit.
