Had a lot of money spent on it by the looks would not call regular if lived near only beer was John Smiths smooth

Unremarkable neighbour of the superb Pelton. Only went in to tick it off being the anorak I am.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Royal Standard

Small backstreet pub with a 'L'-shaped bar and a darts area up a couple of steps. Pool room to the rear. Basic furniture and decor. Patio beer garden out back. Piped music. Disappointingly, the only handpump was out of use so had to resort to the John Smith (£3.20).
