Visited 15/12/25. Visited previously 18/03/24.

Cask amounted to six handpumps, three on each bar counter, all clipped for Doom Bar (so Three Horsemen of the Apocalypse in each side of the venue - not enough space for six horses in here though). Keg amounted to Neck Oil, Fosters, Cruz, Moretti, Heineken, Aspall, Guinness and keg Doom Bar. Actually, found out the six handpumps bearing the Doom Bar clip are for show, no cask DB here, just the keg variety. You would be gutted if you had a passion for the cask variety - talk about getting your hopes up!

Irish feeling pub on the main road with some tables and umbrellas out the front on the pavement. Bar counter in this bare boarded venue occupied the middle section with a front entrance to either side and an internal walk through between both sides at the rear of the bar counter. There is some tall stool seating on both sides of the bar counter. Right-hand side has a leather banquette around the front window serving the largest of tables in here. Another regular table just inside the entrance on this side with then some, wall fixed tables down the right-hand wall and rear wall served by tall stools. Left-hand side largely has wooden church pew style seating around the perimeter serving regular tables. Dart board in the rear left-hand corner that would require some tables to be moved to be in play. A few screens showing recorded sporting action in silence, with an eclectic music soundtrack being played at a reasonable volume. The lights were turned down on my visit, most of the low illumination being provided by the Xmas lights strung around the venue and on the Xmas tree either side of the venue.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Sir Colin Campbell

Basic two-bar pub that - while very simply refurbished - retains some character in terms of layout. I took a seat in the right-hand room (which might generously be called in the lounge), with the sports TV and illuminated dartboard in the public bar bar visible across the central servery. Also has a few wooden benches out front. The bank of three handpumps on each counter would be more impressive if they didn't all sport Doom Bar clips, but at least a drinkable pint of said beer (£5.30) was still available.

hondo . left this review about Sir Colin Campbell

Pretty basic pub that retains its 2 roomed interior split by the bar. 1 real ale.
