Visited 15/12/25. Visited previously as Baroon Lounge on 06/05/25.

No cask. Keg offering of their own Goat Pilsner & Cider, plus Guinness, Stella and Meor IPA from St Ives Brewery.

Not much has changed in terms of the bar area here since my visit about 6 months ago when this was the Baroon Lounge. If anything, more of a bar area than previous incarnation. Same zebra crossing tiles in the front part of the venue leading to the bar counter on the right-hand wall. Some tall stool seating at the small bar counter. There is a pool table at the front of the venue on the zebra crossing. Fancy leather banquettes serving regular tables on the wall opposite the bar counter and a tall table on the carpet before it becomes the tiled flooring. Unlike previous incarnation, these tables are not laid for diners. Up a couple of steps, the venue becomes carpeted apart from a dance floor in front of the stage that had a large screen showing Mongolian TV or film possibly with more fancy leather booth tables more obviously for diners. The rear of the venue has a large stage area and so obvious the venue does live entertainment, what I know not!! The venue has retained several TV's to show sporting action, recorded footy being shown on my visit.

Visited 06/05/25. Visited previously as Earl of Derby on 14/05/24.

No cask. Keg offering of Sharps Cold River cider, Worthington CF, Madri, Carling and Coors.

This place has been spruced up somewhat and turned into predominately a Middle Eastern restaurant. The bar counter is on the right-hand wall just inside the entrance on a black and white tiled floor. There is a small seating area for drinkers between the entrance and the bar counter comprising a couple of tall tables with tall stools and a leather sofa. It quickly becomes dining area both in the area opposite the bar counter, where the seating is via leather banquettes, regular tables and chairs and then in the area beyond to the rear of the venue. No improvement over the previous incarnation, where it felt like a pub, albeit one without any decent beer choices and totally devoid of any positive atmosphere.

Oh dear again, really hitting the dregs of drinking in NW6 this evening. This venue was closed when I was last here about 6 weeks ago when I popped into Coopers opposite. It is a large venue, not surprisingly showing the Spurs v City game on big screen. There were few punters in and most of them were not interested in watching the game so wonder why they were here rather than better venues to quaff nearby.

There is a set of 5 hand pumps on the upper level of the bar but I suspect they haven’t needed oiling for some time. A small range of keg beers so an easy choice of another Guinness for me. John Smiths was available and so surely Alan’s choice if not presented with the array of cask options he had on his visit.

This place has definitely seen better days. I would have expected a good crowd in for the footy this evening. Maybe it does OK at the weekend. It is a really nice space but I don’t see the point of it currently.
