Visited 31/07/25. Visited previously as Patio on 28/06/23.

No draught beers. Range of standard bottled beers in the fridges behind the bar.

Overall, this is a big venue as it is on multiple floors and has a roof terrace, but the bulk of the venue is just used for private parties. The ground floor bar open as a bar is quite small. It is bare boarded with the bar counter in the rear right-hand corner and there are a few fabric stools to sit at the bar counter. Good volume of small round tables with bucket style fabric chairs plus a dark green velvet sofa against the left-hand wall in the front of the venue serving a couple of the tables. Lighting is low and the TV on the wall in front of the bar counter was switched off with the ambiance (to call it that) provided by a thudding soundtrack more in place in a nightclub in the early hours. Served a purpose (bottle of ice-cold beer) after a long walk but can't envisage a return until there is another change of name and ownership! Indeed, only swung by as in area and it was closed when i passed later yesterday evening!

A too cool-for-school bar, but with plenty of politeness thrown in, and no truck with a sole drinker. There were steps leading downstairs on entry which had neon letters spelling out "Birdcage". A cheeky Google reveals that this styles itself as a restaurant (over 5 levels if you're interested). No real ale, but Camden Hells lager was a sole keg tap, and a bottle of Partizan Porter set me back £5. I think the bar mainly functions as a pre-drinks area for the dining upstairs, so this is probably somewhere I won't take my Sunday League team on an end-of-season do to.
