Visited 20/05/26. Visited 19/02/18 for ticking purposes but visited many times before and revisited many times since!
Cask offering of Thornbridge Jaipur, Big Chief IPA from Redemption, Mayflower Session IPA from Southwark Brewing Co, Doom Bar, Abbot and GK IPA. Keg offering of Worthington CF, Stella, Bud Light, Carlsberg, Leffe Blonde, Budweiser, Corona, Coors, original and dark fruits SB, Carling, Guinness, BrewDog Punk IPA, the Sumo APA from Mad Squirrel, the Easy IPA from Seven Brothers, Shipyard Pale Ale, Angelo Poretti, K1664, Stowford Press.
Balcony level with plenty of seating around the outside space with views over the station. Inside the glass fronted venue both sides it is bare boarded around the bar counter which is just inside the entrance and the rest of the venue is carpeted. A mix of regular and tall tables and some studded leather banquettes around the inside walls. The other side is similar, but I have always seemed to find myself on the “higher platforms” side of the venue! Not surprisingly furiously busy and always has been every visit over the years. I love it as a station pub as I regularly travel between London and Sussex from the station. There are way better JDW venues with way more character and larger cask offerings, but it just works for me as a pit stop before travelling.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Wetherspoons (JD Wetherspoon)
It's a Wetherspoons. It's a station pub. You should know what to expect. That said, it is rather better than one might imagine, and usually has a good selection of cask ale too, often with one or two beers from a Sussex brewery, but featuring five festival ales - including my Mauldon's Black Berry Porter (£3.65) - in addition to the standard Greene King IPA, Doom Bar and Abbot from the two banks of six handpumps on this visit. Whilst the transient atmosphere and inevitable peak-hour crowding leave much to be desired, you can usually get a breather out on one of the terraces which overlook Victoria's hustle and bustle from first-floor level.

Dating from 1992, Wetherspoons is a branch of the J. D. Wetherspoon chain and as mentioned, was subject to a refurbishment dating from last year.
Thanks to its eagle’s nest location, you get a commanding view of commuters from the upper terrace, desperately trying to find their platform, given the appalling signage, but otherwise it’s quite smart with no surprises, other than that tables are rather close together making access a little difficult.
A good half of Jaipur was £2.65, served by an efficient barmaid.
This is better than the average ‘spoons, but in an area with a dreadful choice of pubs, this place has the best cask selection outclassed only by Cask, but at best it’s purely functional. Then there's the prices...
