Cask was a pump dispensing their own Goat Winter Pale Ale, provenance unknown with another pump unclipped. Keg offering of Boddingtons, Lost & Grounded Wanna Go to the Sun, Lucky Saint, Hawkstone cider and session lager, Tennent’s lager, Pillars Helles, Deya Steady Rolling Man pale ale and Murphy's Irish stout.

Very smart corner pub with an impressive frontage, no expense spared re-doing this venue. It is quite small; glass fronted on Fulham Rd and the side street. A couple of tall tables in the lace curtained front window and then regular tables up both sides served by a leather studded banquette on the left-hand side and a couple of benches on the right-hand side. Some armchairs around a round table on the left-hand side just pre attractively fronted bar counter in the rear corner on that side. There were a couple of tall stools at the near end of the bar counter. Some tall stool seating around a couple of bare brick pillars towards the back and three tall tables with tall stools in the rear right-hand corner by an enclosed fire with flame effect. A single screen showing Sky Sports News absent sound, instead a rather swing based soundtrack. Lighting very ambient and the venue was attractively decorated. Nice new venue, their own ale OK, but would be very agreeable with two decent ale’s on offer.

I've not been in here since the late '80s when this was one of the area's most iconic pubs, dating back to at least 1725 when it was called the Goat and was rebuilt in its current form in 1887. When I was a visitor, it was called the Goat in Boots.
As this is now primarily a restaurant, I doubt I will be able to return.

A street corner ex-Watney's pub which is not without interest due to its rather quirky split-level arrangement. The main bar area is typically gastro as befits the area, then there's a raised bit to the front overlooking the street, but not the bar, and stairs down to two lower lounge areas. Above there is their '333 Club' which is apparently a sports and cocktail bar, if that's your fancy and you've a vast amount of money - not that that's a problem if you're a local. Only one handpump dispensing Spitfire, which I didn't try as I suspect even at 2PM I would have got the first one out of the day.

The only real reason to go here is if you've got business at the nearby hospitals (allegedly a discount for NHS staff) but it's a better bet than the Young's pub across the road.
