A bit of a struggle to find which doors actually work (and we didn't find the one we eventually left from!) and once inside you come across the partitioned areas round the bar with little access doors to complicate things even further. Apart from those, the interior has been rather buggered about with and doesn't have much character, especially the dining room at the back. The beers on were Young's Special & Original and Redemption Pale Ale. Ok for the novelty value from the screens but I didn't rate it hugely otherwise. Incidentally there are some David Bowie connections and it featured in one of his videos, hence his photo on the wall.

Yesterday was my first ever visit to this classic corner pub in the Maida Vale area of London. The impressive tilework and mosaic floor in the entranceway are the first things you notice. Once inside, your eyes are drawn to the five drinking compartments most of the way around the bar. Each supposedly had its own entrance. Although I didn't see if they were all still in use. However, I did manage to get through each of the service doors to explore each compartment. In fact, you have to do this if you want to view the full range of beers.
To the side of the bar is a slightly larger more open-plan drinking area which leads into a large dining area to the rear with an open kitchen.
Young's Original is the regular beer here. Guests were St Austell Proper Job & Redemption Big Chief. Dogs are welcome.
A fantastic pub to visit. Just don't expect much on the real ale front.

A very impressive interior to this pub with some stunning woodwork and etched glass, it would help if you were a limbo dancer should you wish to navigate your way around the pub with its low level doorways between the wooden partitions and snob screens. Beer wise things were a bit more ordinary with a choice of Youngs Original and Special along with St Austell Proper Job which was more than adequate.Very much a must see pub.
