Originally the Sun and later rebuilt as the Rising Sun in 1897, I'll leave the description of this pub to the What?ub website along with its well documented travails as Presley's (yuck!) as it was in the late 1980s. I'm not sure if I ever visited this pub before, but as I worked in an office around the corner from the late '80s to early '90s, chances are I did.
Inside, and it's a pub which underwent substantial degradation around 30 years ago and it shows - essentially it's a typical Greene Ker-ching London West End pub with more TVs than you can shake a stick at with a very obviously Emirates-orientated crowd, judging by the enthusiasm that erupted each time Arsenal scored.
There were four ales on offer, including the obligatory GK IPA. The barman was devoting his time to mixing cocktails while customers waited, bank cards in hand. As there was quite a queue ahead of me and as a single cocktail takes about 10 minutes to mix, I decided to cut my losses and leave. Of additional interest is that, picked out in gold paint, there's a ceramic Truman's eagle to the fine exterior, from where this pub is best appreciated.

A strangely-shaped corner pub in the middle of Tottenham Court Road, with a long narrow side, opening out into a L-shaped area behind. There is a rather nice bar back, and several Sports TVs around the walls. Five handpumps offered a couple of guests alongside the usual Greene King offerings: the sampled Truman Blindside was in excellent condition.
