Alan Winfield left this review about The Chequers Inn
The Chequers is a large stand alone pub that is next door to the Station Gates.
Once inside i went into a largish room that looked a bit tatty and seemed the sort of room that would get very busy in the evening, there may have been other rooms but i did'nt look.
There was one real ale on the bar which was John Smiths cask and this was a decent drink.
