A detached GBG pub. The main frontage has a Georgian look, despite its fakey cream and beam decor. There is a modern brick conservatory at the back and a aptio area - i believe they hold BBQs too.
The interior has a couple of rooms. The lounge is at the front, which is in white artex and beam walls and ceiling, with a red carpet. There are a couple of big brick fireplaces and there are old photos and , brasses, mirrors, as well as a grandfather clock and a stuffed animal. The music here was general and at a decent level and the TV wasn't on. The back room is the bar area and is in brick and wood, with a little side area. This area has pool and darts, a few TV's (which had the footy on) and general music. The service was fine and the place very busy with many locals.
Beer; general keg drinks with a decent enough Pedigree and a very good Black Sheep on handpull.
I enjoyed my visit here; despite the beer choice being somewhat straight-forward, it was well kept. Very popular and has a good atmosphere. I certainly would return.
