The Black Horse has recently been taken over and fully refurbished .... and what a difference! Both the bar and lounge areas are beautifully finished with an olde worlde feel, and the whole pub has a warm and friendly atmosphere. The chef has created a really good and varied menu of fully home cooked food, with a choice of 5 steaks and fresh fish, along with the traditional favourites such as Steak and Ale pie (which I can definitely recommend), fish pie, haddock and chips, scampi etc. There is a choice of 3 real ales along with a good selection of lagers, bitter and ciders, there's something for everyone here. The pub welcomes families and is a traditional village pub through and through, and even provides free entertainment most weekends, from traditional pop and rock music, to Jazz nights and tribute acts! The staff are nice and friendly and the prices are really good too. Definitely worth a visit, we'll be going back regularly!!
