A very nice multi-roomed traditional village inn, with plenty of nooks and corners. Part of the pub constitutes the village shop and the “Tennyson Tea Room". We stayed at a small campsite just down the road near the fishing lake, so this was handy for an evening drink. Even in the early part of the week there were three well-kept beers available on the hand pumps at all times: Wells Bombardier, Brains Reverend James and Milestone Honey Porter. The latter was in excellent nick, a well-judged recipe with just a hint of honey flavour without any sweetness. This pub is well worth the effort if you're thinking of seeking it out.
